Research Kickoff
Faith Communities across Sarasota gathered to make their voices heard! They met together in small groups and shared stories of injustice. Then they caucused for their top issues and then all of SURE heard testimonies from those impacted by immigration injustice, mental health/healthcare access, and attacks on DEI policies.
The New Action Issue for 2025-2026 is….
Mental Health and Access to Healthcare.
Now that our issue is identified, we prepare to fully understand the issue and find out what we can do about it. We look forward to gathering at our Research Kickoff on October 27th, 2025 at 6pm to learn from the people in the community who are already working on this issue and know it best, those who are working in healthcare and mental health, those who are trying to expand access, and those who see the impacts and are experiencing them as well.
